4th Belt and Road Initiative Simulation Competition - Open for Applications!

The Foundation for Law and International Affairs (FLIA) is delighted to announce the launch of the 4th Belt and Road Initiative Simulation Competition! Scheduled for May 2025, this prestigious event invites university teams worldwide to participate in this dynamic and interdisciplinary competition, designed to deepen students’ understanding of international inclusive negotiation.

The Belt and Road Initiative Simulation Competition provides a unique platform that integrates experiential learning with practical application. Centered on hypothetical BRI project cases, participants will tackle core issues such as legal frameworks, financial considerations, environmental challenges, labor concerns, and geopolitical dynamics. Teams will represent various stakeholders, including a company, a local government, an NGO, and an intergovernmental organization (IGO), working to resolve conflicts and foster collaboration through English-language negotiations.

  • Preliminary Round: May 10, 2025

  • Final Round: May 11, 2025

  • Venue: East China University of Political Science and Law, Songjiang Campus

  • Application Deadline: February 24, 2025, 6:00 PM (CST)

How to Apply

Interested teams should submit their applications via email. Complete the registration form provided in the attachments, and include your university name, a primary contact person’s name, and their phone number in the email body.

No registration fee will be charged. Teams are responsible for their own travel, accommodation, and meal expenses.

Visa Application Support

If your team requires invitation letters for visa applications to travel to China, please mention this in your email when submitting the registration form.

  • Team Awards: These include, but are not limited to, the Gold Best Team Award, Silver Team Award, and Bronze Team Award.

 

  • Individual Awards: Several individual awards will be presented, including Best Coach Award, Best Opening Statement Award, Law Advocacy Award, Public Speaking Award, and Diplomacy Award.
